1. How Do I Wall Mount My Relaxsea Fish Tank?
1. Find a suitable location where the aquarium will be fitted to the wall. Make sure that the wall is suitable to carry the full weight of the aquarium. After tesing we have found our fitting method to be much safer and economical than the usual bracket fitting.
2. The ideal height from the floor being, 1 to 1.2 metres, this height will be where the base of the aquarium will be sited on two steel bar supports. Check that the marks for the holes are perfectly level before drilling.
3. Drill the holes and insert the two round steel supports leaving approximately 10-12cm protruding from the wall.
4. Lift up the aquarium and rest it on the supporting bolts, make sure the distance from the supports to the outer edge of the aquarium are equal, ie. 40 or 50cm each side.
5. Using a pencil or other suitable maker, mark the position of the fastening screws onto the wall. These holes are at the rear of the aquarium near to the top.
6. Lift the aquarium off its supports, checking that the holes have been properly marked.
7. Now drill the top holes and fully insert the fixing plugs.
8. Lift aquarium onto lower supports, line up the top holes with the plugs, insert screws and tighten, make sure the fixing are sound and the holding screws are really tight. Check again to make sure the aquarium is level.
9. You have now successfully fitted your Relaxsea aquarium.

Back To The Top6. Are all wall mounted tanks supplied with complete fixtures to enable installation on a solid brick wall?
You can see the installation instructions in the FAQ page. It normally takes about 30 minutes to install the fish tank. The fittings kits are included, and a full installation manual comes with the fish tank as well
Back To The Top7. We have one of the focus range tanks, and would like to know if we can hang it on a stud wall? What do you normal advise your customers to hang it from?
We strongly recommend the following:
- If you are uncertain how to fix the tank to the wall, please seek professional advice.
- Please beware it requires at least two people to install the tank on to the wall.
- Please ensure the wall for your aquarium has the correct load bearing qualities.
8. How do you access the tank to feed the fish?
There is a lid on the top of the fish tank; you can feed fish from there.
Back To The Top9. Although the compact tank is stated to be 120mm in depth, does this sit flush to the wall or is there any gap?
The fish tank sits flush to the wall, there is no gap at all.
Back To The Top10. Is the filtration system quiet and is there anything you need to do during the year to keep the tank clean?
Yes, the filtration system is quiet. Just one water change a year! Yes, it really is true. Our unique water filtration system takes care of tank waste so you don't have to. All you need to do is change the water once a year for a clean, clear aquarium and happy fish. It has been tested by all our customers. Also, we suggest using Fish Safe Guard once you start a new aquarium or whenever the aquarium is topped up with tap water or when new fish are introduced to a tank to soothe and clam them during their acclimatization. Safe Guard quickly and effectively neutralizes chlorine, chloramines and heavy metals in tap water, preventing distress and gill irritation in fish.
Back To The Top11. I am interested in your table fish tank. Could you tell me how many cables run from the table to work all the electrics and where do they come out of?
There is a standard plug which comes out from the top right corner of the tank which powers all the components inside the tank.
Back To The Top12. How Can I Change The Water After 1 Year?
Things You'll Need:
- 2 Buckets
- Tubing
- Reverse Osmosis Dionized Water Filter or Tap water conditioner that neutralizes chlorine
1. Fill a bucket with tap water that will be used to replace the water in the fish tank. Prepare this a day in advance. The general rule is to take out about 20 percent of the tank's water.
2. Add tap water conditioner into the bucket. Use the amount of water condition as directed on the container. A common brand you'll find at most pet stores is Tap Water Conditioner by Aquarium Pharmaceuticals.
3. Place the bucket and tubing next to the aquarium in preparation for a water change.
4. Turn off all electricity to avoid any dangers. Heaters can break if exposed to excessive air as it will try to heat the room's temperature. Filters can go dry if water levels go below the suction tubing.
5. Place one end of the tubing into the fish tank and begin a suction by sucking on the other end of the tube like you would a straw. Make sure your end is below the end in the tank so that gravity pulls down the water into the bucket. Be sure to watch the water move down the tubing as you do not want to drink any of your fish's poop. Before it gets to your mouth, empty the water into a second bucket.
6. Remove any solid wastes inside the fish tank by gently siphoning the gravel to pick any settled debris.
7. When the bucket is almost full remove the tubing from the fish tank to break the siphon.
8. After removing the targeted amount of water, add the prepared water into the tank.
9. Reconnect the electrical supply to the tank.
